At the Council of Europe’s initiative, every year on 26 September since 2001, we celebrate the European Day of Languages.

This is how European people can celebrate their cultural and linguistic diversity, which is a really intangible heritage to protect.

We are all encouraged to discover more languages, because they are an essential tool to facilitate the intercultural communication and promote understanding of diversity.
